Head of Medical Science Liaison

<Overall mission>

To partner with the healthcare industry based on mutual discovery of opportunities to collaborate and share knowledge. Meet our customers’ need for balanced and up-to-date information relating to our product portfolio which will ensure optimal management of patients.

<Main job contributions and responsibilities>

-Manage Performance objectives, train, supervise, and develop team member

-Maintain motivation and create “can-do attitude” in relation with internal and external customers

-Development of people for job growth inside or outside of the team


KOL Management

-Develops and fosters excellent professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).

-Ensures strong organizational contact with KOLs through the establishment of a KOL plans and subsequent management.

Internal Stakeholder Partnering

-Actively leads the strategic and tactical medical strategies ensuring involvement and awareness of relevant internal stakeholders including Medical, Marketing and Sales.

-Works cross-functionally with Medical, Marketing, Sales, Health Outcomes, Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Affairs and so on, to ensure common alignment on activities being undertaken.

-Collate competitor intelligence and market intelligence to feedback to head-office teams.

Clinical Trial Programs

-Support related organization on the development of local research programs that support current and future products/disease state areas.

-Facilitates Investigator Sponsored Trial (IST) requests.

Medical Education

-Maintains a high level of knowledge of common questions from clinicians where there is an anticipated or understood need for information as determined by the Medical Manager.

-Attends relevant local, regional, national and international scientific meetings in order to keep up to date with new clinical data.

-Communicates any relevant information from customers to internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing and Medical teams.

-Assists the Medical Manager in the review and/or delivery of clinical publications, training material and competitor analyses.

Means and Methods

-Maintain a strong disease state knowledge

-Having highest understanding of the mechanism of action of the own or group company drug and other competitor drugs used for the same indication, comparisons of efficacy data and toxicity profiles.

-Demonstrate a high level of comfort in discussing landmark clinical trials and interpreting complex clinical data.

-Communicate medical knowledge to both internal and external stakeholders effectively.

-Have a strong understanding of Regulatory requirements.



Working experience in medical science liaison People management experience in the field Science background(PHD folder, pharmacists etc.) High level of English communication skill.
