Business Development Manager

Our client is a major publisher of health, science and medical journals.

Job Purpose (職務概要):

The Manager of Business Development will manage development projects and to form partnerships and strategic alliances to build all aspects of COMPANY's new business. 

Key Result Areas (期待される成果)

Main Activities and Responsibilities (主な業務と責任)

Market research and consolidate customer requirement.

Identify and understand market/customer needs, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources

Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of a developing product
Gather data on competitors and analyze their products/strategies

Business plan development.
& all phases of M&A transaction

Segment target market based on market research

Build business case (including pricing) for new product

Develop product and drive execution / pilot project (work closely with global product owner)

Identify and approach potential M&A targets

Plan and arrange of M&A process

Analyze and valuate of potential targets and structure of acquisition

Sales&marketing plan and channel development

Develop a sales & marketing strategy towards target segment 

Manage marketing activities and ensure effective follow up, monitoring and reporting results

Identify the appropriate sales channel and work closely to help execute sales strategies 

Ensure that objectives are established and achieved

Product roll-out management

Educate and mentor team member on product launch and sales strategies 

Assess effectiveness of sales & marketing activities with respect to product objectives, strategies, and market feedback to improve performance

Product P&L responsibility

- Knowledge of product development and/or marketing required
- Knowledge of MS Office products essential, knowledge of HTML advantage.

Required Education and Experience (必要とされる教育、経験):

- Experience in Publishing or Information industry preferred

- MBA degree preferred

- 5+ years experience in business development, strategy, market planning
